The Department organizes an Annual Food Festival
every year to motivate the students to develop culinary skills
for bulk cooking.
Industrial visits to Hotels, Breweries and Distilleries
are also arranged to get to know the manufacturing processes of
alcoholic beverages.
A mega Lunch party is hosted for the parents
of students during such Food Festivals around 1000 people and
the Lunch service programme at our College premises.
The Department has linkages (MoU’s) with
67 leading Star Hotels all over India for students to take up
Industrial Training often leading to placement.
.R.Baskar, II Chef, The Grand Hotel, Kenilworth,
Warwickshire, United Kingdom delivered special lecture on ”Global
Opportunities for Hoteliers” on 04.02.2008.
Mr.Kaboorideen, Head, School of Hospitality,
Orchard, School of Arts and Commerce ,Singapore Commercial School,
delivered a special lecture on “Study, work and Living in
Singapore” in 2008.
