| An “Immaculate
Environment” is the immediate agenda in all eco-related
deliberations. As a social responsibility of the institution towards
natural environment, the Department of Environmental science was
established in the year 1999 – 2000 with a PG course in
Environmental Science. This course provides an overview of the
key concepts and principles in environmental management, area
of global and national environmental concern and strategies and
tools for effective environmental management. |

The Department
laboratory is equipped with the instruments required at the
Post-graduate level and the basic research level. The lab has
stocks with the equipments needed for hands-on analyzsis of
water, soil and noise pollution. The lab has the portable water
analyzer and the sound level meter to analyze the water and
noise level in an area. The jar test apparatus, the orbital
shaker centrifuge, the COD reflex unit and Nephelo-Turbidity
meter are some of the other instruments handled by our students
in industrial wastewater management. |
