With Tamils the language is not just a means
of communication. It is their life breath. Naturally the Department
of Tamil was among the first to be started along with the College.
But the Tamils are also noted for the spirit of tolerance and
a proverbial urge towards hospitality and respect for one’s
fellowmen. To facilitate the entry of students from other states
and to lend a new wide ambience to language learning and teaching,
the Department of Tamil has in its fold the Faculties of Hindi
and French |
| |
| |
| |
Part I of all Undergraduate courses is taken
up with study of Tamil, Hindi or French.
There is skill based optional in Communicative
Tamil for non Tamil learners as the compulsory elective at the
U.G. level. There is another optional – Advanced Communicational
Skills in Tamil for Tamil Students who opt for Hindi or French
under Part I
