Commerce has come to occupy pride of place
in the world today wherein space and time have shrunk and national
barriers have practically broken down. In the contemporary world,
under the GATT and WTO regimes, the movements of the money market
and the stock exchange the winds of change blowing across the
banking scenario and the need for the switch over to international
financial reporting standards have become matter of concern in
accounting and auditing circles.
The aspiring student has many an enviable open to an opulent
challenging career in commerce. It was to enable students to snatch
these opportunities that the School of Commerce was started in
2006.

acquiring greater importance in the present period of globalization,
especially in the field of entrepreneurial development, e-commerce
and international business. Knowledge of commercial procedures
has become almost meaningless without computer training. The need
has arisen to train students of commerce in office automation
