The health centre of the College is also open to community around the College. The health / medical services extended to poor villagers is a significant service to the society.

Students are often exposed to community by camps and social works. By this the students learn the problems in the Community and think to provide solutions for the problems.

A student of Master of Social Work (MSW) has won “The Best Social Worker in the District” award given by the State Government for the year 2007 – 2008.

The College stands first in Blood Donation activity at the level of donating blood of any group at any time. The College won the State Award for Best and First Donar institution in the state in 2006 – 2007 and won the District Award for the First and Best Donar in the District during 2007 – 2008.

The NSS officer Mr. S.Subburaman has won the “Best NSS officer award” given by the Bharathidasan University for the year 2007 – 2008.

National Integration Camp for NSS officers from all over India was conducted here in 2007 and the College as a model explained to them about the NSS programmes and camps conducted as community services in Tamilnadu.
The College has conducted number of training programmes at the request of GOs and NGOs, for example to the Police Personnel, Engineers, Ex-army Personnel, School Children, Staff of Government Offices and to Women Self Help Groups in the District.
