Right from its inception the College has been maintaining
and a high level performance in academic, Co-curricular
and Extra Curricular activities. Consultancy is extends
to NGO’s and GO’s, when asked for.

1. Rapid
growth in the number of programmes at the U.G., P.G.
and research levels.
2. Consistently
high percentage of passes in university examinations,
and the number of university ranks. In April 2007, the
College scored 79 University Ranks.
3. The courses
being in frontier areas and job oriented, most of the
Alumni are well placed. They generally opt for higher
studies or get employed as soon as they complete the
course.
4. The research
programmes M.Phil. and Ph.D. were started only in 2002
– 2003. In 5 years 5 Ph.D. degrees and 367 M.Phil.
degrees have been awarded. 5 Ph.D. scholars have submitted
their synopses and theses and 38 Ph.D. scholars are
actively pursuing research.

The College hosts a number of Inter Collegiate,
Zonal, Inter University and National Level tournaments
in Sports and Games. The Indoor Stadium is a real attraction. |

Apart from
number of students winning in Inter-University, National
and Inter-Collegiate events, one student Ms. S.Shanthi
has won second place in 1500m race at the World Peace
Track events conducted at Seoul, South Korea in 2004,
while studying here. She also has won second place and
Silver Medal in the South Asian Games conducted at Doha
in 2006. The College honoured her with a cash award of
Rs. 2 lakhs.
